For Faith-Based & Values-Driven Communities
Where Purpose Meets Play
We advance early years education through the intentional integration of developmentally appropriate spiritual formation regardless of religion or doctrine. Positioning spiritual formation and neuroscience as complementary rather than competing forces in a child's most formative years.
Our Formation pathway is where we get asked the most questions, usually some version of: how do you do spiritual formation without doctrine? The honest answer is that we lean on a deliberately eclectic set of theologians, traditions, and thinkers; chosen because each one treats a child's inner life as real and worth taking seriously, without requiring a single theological system or a specific set of rules to do it. We weave these threads into our daily instructional rhythms, creating containers for revelation, contemplation, and prayer. That includes how we think about regulation itself: a child struggling to calm down isn't failing a spiritual task. They're in the middle of one.
Our Philosophy
Six threads, bound into one cord. The spine of our Formation pathway.
Beauty as a Way of Knowing
Beauty is not decoration but revelation. A child falling still before something beautiful is not merely playing; she is encountering meaning.
Formation in Community
I am because we are. Formation is never solitary. We engage parents and educators as active partners in a shared, communal act.
Stillness and Discernment
We recover the practice of stepping back from noise to make room for attention. Slow looking, quiet transitions, unhurried wonder.
Sacred in the Everyday
Finding the divine in all things and learning to reach for the more generous, more life-giving choice.
Embodied Worship
Body, senses, and imagination as legitimate pathways into wonder and gratitude. A contemplative practice, not a performance.
Heart Awakening
Awareness, Coherence, Compassion. Three connected movements from noticing, to steadiness, to turning outward.
A Core Practice
Sunrise / Sunset
Sunrise: Heart Guidance
A short stillness-and-breath practice for the morning heart. Building protection, direction, and trust before the day's actions unfold.
Sunset: Heart Repair
A closing practice for the evening heart. Reflection and gratitude, and a chance to lay down what we don't wish to carry overnight.
One of several core practices that carry our six threads into daily rhythm. The rest live inside our Formation curriculum.
